MEDICAL EYE EXAM
Not only do we care about helping you see well but we want to make sure your eyes are healthy too. Assessment of your external and internal (retina) structures of the eyes are advised yearly.
Our doctors are well trained in treating a variety of ocular-related emergencies and diseases.
ABOUT US
CE Eye Care opened its doors in fall of 2019.
Dr. Connie Choua and Dr. Esther Yew are dedicated to helping improve your vision and managing your eye health. They strive to keep patients educated on the newer technologies that eyeglasses and contact lens have to offer and explain to patients about the importance of eye health and its effect on vision or ocular discomforts.
Dr. Hien Le joined the practice in late 2021 when CE Eye Care started its service in Beaumont area.

CONNIE CHOUA OD
Born and raised in Dallas, TX, Dr. Choua graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in Neuroscience. She continued her studies at the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she met Dr. Yew, and obtained her Doctorate of Optometry degree. In her last year of clinical training, Dr. Choua did her internships at the Community Eye Clinic, providing care for the underserved Ft Worth, TX community, and at a successful practice in West Monroe, Louisiana with Dr. Dwayne Yeager.
Dr. Choua is a board-certified Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist that practices full-scope optometry including ocular disease management, cataract and LASIK consultation and post-op management, and glasses and contact lens examinations. She strongly believes in early eye examinations for children and welcomes children age 4-years-old and above.
Dr. Choua enjoys sports, traveling, and exploring the Houston food scene with her husband, family & friends.
ESTHER YEW OD
Dr. Yew graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Biochemistry. She then continued her studies at the University of Houston College of Optometry. Her internships included Diagnostic Eye Center, a LASIK/cataract ophthalmology and optometry clinic in Houston and HOPE Clinic, a community health clinic in Houston.
Dr. Yew is a board certified therapeutic optometrist providing examinations for glasses and contact lenses, cataract consultation, co-manages cataract, LASIK and other refractive surgeries. Dr. Yew is certified in corneal refractive therapy (CRT) with Paragon Vision and MiSight for myopia control. She is also a certified Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Yew is a big foodie and enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and furry kids. She speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese.
HIEN LE OD
Dr. Hien Le received her Doctor of Optometry degree from UIW Rosenberg School of Optometry and in the top ten of her class.
Dr. Le is licensed Therapeutic Optometrist by Texas Optometry Board. She completed an externship rotation specializing in medical necessary scleral contact lenses for keratoconus, refractive surgery and corneal transplants. Dr. Le is certified in corneal refractive therapy (CRT) for myopia control, also known as orthokeratology, by many different top ortho-k lenses designer companies including Paragon Vision and Bausch and Lomb’s VST.
In addition, Dr. Le also finished her final externship at Community Eye Clinic at Fort Worth with an extensive training in management of ocular diseases and not limit to glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataract and diabetic retinopathy.
Dr. Le is an active member of Texas Optometric Association and American Optometric Association.
